Presidential Paintball Brings Politics To Gaming

politics.jpgMiniclip made an announcement today, giving an introduction to a new game called “Presidential Paintball.” The games doubles as a Presidential polling system, asking gamers who they believe will win the election. As of now Hillary Clinton is in the lead with Barack Obama a close second. Within the first five days, over 5 million votes have been placed.

The game allows a gamer to choose a Democratic or Republican candidate and then run around the White House, finding and shooting at other candidates. Bonus points are given when a player hits an elephant or Donkey (the opposite of the gamers’ chosen side).

The game is being feely syndicated to commercial sites, blogs and personal pages. Rob Small, CEO of Miniclip said “The presidential races are getting tight and this is a fun way for people to fight for their candidate and let out their frustration on their opposition. Presidential Paintball has only been on the site for five days and we’re thrilled with the tremendous response.”

This effort not only gives users a fun way to think about politics, but is yet another way the next presidential race is being advertised for online.
