ContextWeb Opens ASDAQ Door To All
Last week ContextWeb, Inc., a contextual online ad exchange, announced the opening of its ASDAQ ad exchange to all site publishers. The ASDAQ “Selling Desk,” is a self service web application that allows publishers to name the CPM they would ask for their inventory. Small publishers may also make their inventory available on the exchange.
Up until last week, the ASDAQ was only open to a small group of publishers including A&E Television Networks and Salary.com. Advertisers taking part in the exchange will reach a larger audience and find a larger amount of inventory that will meet their bid prices. According to Media Screen, interest in products and brands advertised on smaller sites and blogs is higher than on larger sites, 42% versus 38%.
Anand Subramanian, CEO of ContextWeb, Inc. said “The ASDAQ exchange offers large and small premium content sites to brand advertisers who want brand safe access to customers at significant scale.”
Amy Auerbach, VP and director of PHDiQ East said “With the ability to instantly examine and categorize the content of pages in the exchange, ASDAQ will continue to provide the safe environment so important to our client brand as we scale in size to meet the needs of a larger audience.”
