Ads To Run On Google News

Britain’s Press Association, Canadian Press, Agence France-Presse and The Associated Press have stories hosted on Google; each of which have said that they will license their content to Google according to Reuters.

Business product manager of the five year old Google News, Josh Cohen said that the company will put advertising on the pages with the licensed news stories. “I think it is fair to say we are always looking at ways to help publishers distribute, promote and monetize their content,” he stated.

Cohen added that the changes will not affect the ranking of which stories appear in results for search on Google News.
