shocked.jpgPlaxo, a well-known content management site announced that it has made a part of its source code available to developers as well as the general public. The code for the company’s “Online Identity Consolidator,” is the code being released. This code can detect all of the social-networking accounts for a user and embed any related RSS feeds onto the profile of said user on Plaxo’s social network Pulse.

This move is an effort on Plaxo’s part to maintain the company’s original goals of creating a user-customizable, open network. The company put out a release that stated they wanted to, “open up the social graph,” also deeming Pulse the “anti-facebook.”
