CNN And Google Team Up
CNN has renewed its contract with Google AdSense for several more years to come. This means that all of CNN’s auction-based text ads will be provided by Google exclusively in the U.S. Also, AdWords advertisers will benefit from this as CNN.com’s inventory will open to them.
Even though Google will be responsible for the searches generated by CNN.com U.S., all of CNN’s International sites will still be powered by Yahoo. This is the second news firm to strike a deal with Google AdSense after Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive in July.
It was reported that CNN did not renew the contract with Yahoo because the two companies could not agree on the terms and conditions of a new contract.
