WiMax Mixes With Google

handshake5.jpgGoogle and Sprint have just announced a partnership they are embarking on to develop a mobile internet portal by utilizing WiMax, telecom’s wireless technology.

WiMax is known to move at speeds that are five times faster than many other wireless networks, however it is still slower than broadband.

By the end of the year, the company hopes to cover about 100 million people, but for now Sprint will be testing WiMax will be going on in Chicago, Washington and Baltimore only.

The WiMax technology will be integrated with many existing Google features such as email and instant messaging applications.
