TACODA Sells To AOL

bullseye.jpgAnother acquisition making headlines today is that of AOL and TACODA. TACODA is an ad network that specializes in online behavioral targeting.

The ad network gives advertisers the possibility of serving ads based on the online behavior of consumers. AOL can utilize this functionality to widen their targeting capacity and broaden the reach of the third-party display network which is the largest in the United States.

TACODA will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of AOL.

eMarketer projected that the behavioral targeting market is expected to increase up from $350 million last year to $3.8 billion by 2011.
