Connexus Acquires AdModus
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.–Connexus today announced that it has completed the purchase of the technology assets of AdModus, developer of a proprietary ad serving technology featuring multi-variant targeting capabilities that help advertisers and publishers optimize the value of their media spends and inventory. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Both companies are privately held.
Founded in 2006, AdModus has developed an ad serving platform designed from the ground up to maximize a publisher’s yields using contextual and behavioral targeting data, along with an advanced optimization engine to deliver highly targeted traffic and nearly real-time results. The AdModus platform provides the ideal complement to existing Connexus offerings and is expected to fuel the development of additional advanced targeting and optimization solutions for online advertisers and publishers, according to Calvin Lui, Chief Operating Officer, Connexus.
“Acquiring AdModus’ impressive ad serving technology is consistent with our goal of achieving and maintaining market leadership by investing in and building strategically important technologies,” said Lui. “The addition of AdModus’ technology provides a compelling platform with rich and broad optimization capabilities. Now we can leapfrog the competition in terms of maximizing results for advertisers and publishers online.”
“We’re a small company with a big technology that fits like a glove with what a market leader like Connexus offers, and with what advertisers and publishes want,” said AdModus CEO Jim Waltz, who will join the Connexus team. “This is a great match on so many levels—the scale and diversity of solutions at Connexus will really showcase what the AdModus technology is capable of achieving.”
