Client Development Director
Primary Responsibility/ Job Function:
This role is responsible for developing new and existing clients and vendors, with the primary goal of generating visitor traffic and sales/conversions at client websites.
The person in this position will help lead the acquisition of new clients for dComm’s online consulting, web development and marketing services, and will also oversee existing client account development. The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Generate and close new sales leads, including leading meetings with prospective clients to understand their online marketing needs, and preparing presentation materials.
• Oversight of multiple client accounts and communication of top-level campaign performance and project status.
• Strategize to provide top-performing interactive marketing client solutions, including search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, graphical/video media buying and other online marketing initiatives.
• Oversee campaign budgets and schedules.
• Review media plan expectations and campaign reporting and analytics.
• Participate in internal and external meetings, proactively generate creative strategies in conjunction with client marketing goals.
• Lead client development projects.
• Deep understanding of the client’s industry and competitive marketplace, marketing goals, audience, environment, etc.
• Make informed recommendations for strategic improvements to client online marketing ROI/CPA objectives, including customer retention.
• Attend client meetings, conferences and trade shows as needed to attract and maintain clients.
• Ownership best practices and process improvement.
• Deep understanding of user behavior and activity as it relates to online media consumption.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in interactive sales marketing, ideally in an agency environment.
• Goal and accomplishment driven – a smart marketer, who can build a strong marketing plan from scratch.
• Expertise working with external clients and creating marketing/advertising recommendations/strategies/tactics based on sound analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in web site development, online advertising program management systems and email/database initiatives.
• Exceptional planning, coordination, management skills; well organized and detail oriented.
• Very strong interpersonal, presentation and oral/written communication skills, commitment to the team and clients, and ability to persuade and manage expectations.
• Flexible, fast-learning and works well independently in small team environment.
• Experience managing account managers.
• Self-motivated multi-tasker who works well independently.
• Direct response industry experience and contacts is a plus.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, PowerPoint.
