Adap.TV | Metacafe Team Prepares To Launch Contextual Online Video Ads

tvstatic.jpgHeaded by CEO Amir Ashkenazi, adap.tv has developed proprietary algorithms that analyze video content, determine the most relevant ads, and serve them in real time by adapting to viewer behavior.

The video-sharing site Metacafe, was named adap.tv’s first partner on the selling side of the equation. Advertisements using adap.tv’s platform will stream in the video window itself without interrupting what’s being viewed.

Other services said to be experimenting with in-steam ads are Adbrite and Google’s YouTube. However, adap.tv is the first to combined their platform within a contextual framework.

This move represent the first step toward harnessing the streaming video medium to effectively market to users of video-sharing sites.
