EyeWonder Upgrades Flash Platform

Rich media advertising firm EyeWonder, whose ad formats are accepted by many online publishers including Yahoo, AOL and MSN, has released version 8.1 of its AdWonder Flash Component development platform, bringing with it integration with the Adobe Flash development environment.

“This is not merely an API set — like some other providers are currently promoting,” said Michael Griffin, EyeWonder’s EVP of corporate development in a statement. “The AdWonder Component is a full-blown Flash-based production environment. Not only have many agencies have seen production and approval times cut by over 50 percent with our AdWonder Component, they are also producing more compelling interactive video and rich media ad experiences which are driving quantifiable increases in campaign performance.”

The new version also adds demo features so users can create local versions of campaigns for client pitches and agency portfolios. There’s also multi-user campaign project exporting to help collaborative development, and a new timer UI element to help sync an ad unit’s animation and video.

EyeWonder wanted to design the ad creation platform using an environment that rich media developers were already familiar with, according to EyeWonder client solutions director Ryan Manchee. The company relied heavily on input from agency partners in determining what to add.

The new version 8.1 of the AdWonder Flash Component is available immediately.
