Avenue A | Razorfish Buys Parisian Interactive Agency
Interactive company Avenue A | Razorfish, a division of aQuantive, has purchased Duke, a Paris-based interactive agency with offices in France and the UK. The new acquisition adds to Avenue A | Razorfish’s growing roster of international operations. The company already has offices in North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
The Duke agency has won several awards including three Cyber Cristals from the Meribel Advertising Festival and a Cyber Lion from the International Cannes Festival for its Sony PSP launch campaign.
“Duke demonstrates a keen ability to anticipate consumer behavior online. Teaming with this talented group provides our growing international organization a means to serve multinational clients’ needs in France and beyond,” said Avenue A | Razorfish president Clark Kokich in a statement.
Avenue A | Razorfish paid about €6 million for Duke up front and will pay more over the next three years depending on how profitable the company will be. Duke has been operating since 1999, and has represented brands like Nike, McDonalds, and Proctor & Gamble. It expects to earn an additional $12-$14 million in 2007.
