iCrossing Acquires Spannerworks, Eyes European Expansion
Spannerworks has just announced that it has been acquired by iCrossing, a digital marketing agency. With the new acquisition, the company will be able to expand internationally, with the goal being specifically to branch out in Europe.
iCrossing brings search technology, brand monitoring and research and consultant products to the merger. Jeff Herzog, CEO and Founder of iCrossing, COO and President Donald Scales, and Chairman Richard Rosenblatt will work with Spannerworks to provide guidance, and both companies will work to enhance one another with search and social media options.
“We set out to partner with a company that understood search and its importance in digital marketing, with a range of products and services to complement our own. iCrossing is the perfect match, and this deal squarely puts Spannerworks ahead of the market. From this month forward we will be embarking on a global expansion strategy in partnership with iCrossing, and will be keenly hunting for the best European talent in the industry,” states Spannerworks’ chief exec Arjo Ghosh.
Herzog adds, “iCrossing and Spannerworks share a common vision for creating search marketing strategies and programs that influence consumer behavior, improve brand visibility and deliver quantifiable results. The strengths of both companies will be leveraged in the U.S. and Europe to deliver to our client’s unmatched global media strategies in the digital space.”
With the iCrossing acquisition, Spannerworks will keep its management team intact, and Ghosh will continue leading the company as CEO.
