IN2TV Expands Programming with Looney Tunes, Music Channels
IN2TV.com, an AOL/Warner Bros.-owned broadband network offering free, classic television episodes, today announced two new channels on its roster, the Looney Tunes Channel and the Rock n’ Flix Channel, which further expands its entertainment base.
The Looney Tunes Channel will offer hundreds of classics from 1936 to 1964, some of which have rarely or never been seen. First screen appearances of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck will be housed on the new portal. Some of the notable episodes that will be available are “Porky’s Duck Hunt” (1937), which is the first time the world was introduced to Daffy Duck, and “Porky’s Hare Hunt” (1938) with Bugs Bunny’s debut. Cartoon fans will also have access to Hanna-Barbera animated material like “Magilla Gorilla,” “The Jetsons,” “The Flintstones,” and “Top Cat”.
The Rock ‘n Flix Channel meanwhile will offer performances by some of the top artists who have contributed to Warner Bros. films, which are “difficult to find on TV”, according to Fred McIntyre, Senior Vice President at AOL Video. Exclusive performances by artists such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Frankie Avalon in 1958′s “Jamboree” along with Prince rocking out with “Purple Rain” will be included, as well as other selections including Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and even Run-DMC and Kurtis Blow in “Krush Groove”.
“Clearly, the Internet is where today’s entertainment fans enjoy watching some of their favorite TV shows, and In2TV.com is making great strides in catering to this audience,” said McIntyre in a statement.
