Amp’d Mobile Adds NBA, NCAA and Summer Games to Content Roster
Mobile entertainment provider Amp’d Mobile today announced it will now add basketball games and highlights to its content. The distribution deals will include announced the NBA, CSTV, and Dime and Bounce Magazines, which will offer NBA, NCAA, and summer tournament basketball games. All games will be featured on the Amp’d Mobile network.
Seth Cummings, Senior Vice President, Content Development & Programming at Amp’d Mobile said in a statement, “Amp’d Mobile’s schedule of live basketball programming includes live games from the NBA, NCAA and top summer leagues that will span the entire year and allow basketball fans anytime access to their favorite teams.” Cummings also went on to say, “We’re especially proud to deliver the first live broadcast of a U.S. major league sports game to mobile, along with a comprehensive and diverse offering of basketball games.”
Live video streams of NBA TV, live broadcasts of NBA games, and daily news coverage with game highlights from NBA analysts will all be available on Amp’d. “Amp’d Mobile’s initiative demonstrates the desire that fans have for consuming basketball in any possible fashion,” added Steve Herbst, Senior Vice President and General Manager at NBA TV. “Through Amp’d, we can deliver NBA TV’s full lineup of programming and provide our fans with a new way to experience the excitement of our game.”
College basketball fans will also be fulfilled with the live game coverage offered through Amp’d Mobile and CSTV, while the street hoops tournaments that were launched through the partnership with Dime Magazine and Bounce Magazine will also be available on Amp’d. Major U.S.-based street tournaments will be broadcasted, which include the notable Entertainer’s Basketball Classic at Rucker Park, Kingdome, Dyckman, and Hoops in the Sun events.
