R/GA Opens New London Office
Digital marketing firm R/GA has opened a new office in London that will serve as the central headquarters for all European operations.
“London was a natural choice for us, not only in catering to client needs, but also due to the history of creativity and digital expertise that has flourished in the city,” said CEO Bob Greenberg in a statement. “Given the vibrancy of the market, our goal is to establish a strong footprint in Europe and maintain the consistent high quality of work for which we are known.”
R/GA gained its first footholds in London upon winning the account for Nokia’s Nseries in 2005, sharing office space with several other Interpublic Group agencies.
The old office went on to develop several London-based campaigns, including the award-winning Bluetooth-enabled posters that began appearing in London Underground stations towards the beginning of 2006. Each poster let nearby users download city maps to their Nokia phones, pointing them in the direction of regional points of interest.
With the new office, R/GA wants to combine the existing creative technology development already happening in London and extend it, along with support from the New York office, to mobile marketing, experience design, universal planning, and localized client support.
