NeoMedia Signs UK Co-Marketing Agreement with InfoMedia

As part of its continuing mobile marketing strategy overhaul, UK-based NeoMedia Technologies today announced that it has signed a co-marketing agreement for its flagship direct-to-mobile-web qode technology with fellow UK company and mobile service provider, InfoMedia Services Ltd.

NeoMedia president Martin Copus stated that InfoMedia will market qode to its own customers, while working to instill qode into its direct-to-consumer content offerings, including InfoMedia site Partymob.com, which offers mobile products including ringtones, logos, wallpapers, and games. While it claims to be the first U.K. company to sell a polyphonic ringtone, and the first to sell a mobile JAVA game direct to consumers, InfoMedia will use qode as a major tool for mobile website discovery for the portals it has developed for blue-chip organizations.

InfoMedia will also aid NeoMedia’s U.K. marketing cause by providing outsource services including mobile site and portal design, as well as support services including mobile site hosting linked by qode and mobile payment.

Still, the union isn’t without its sponsorship efforts. Starting next month, ONE Water, the first European product to use qode in its packaging to communicate with customers via the mobile Web, will again have its bottles link to the Mobile ‘Net via qode, with the first shipments of more than 5 million bottles bearing qode-enabled “smart codes”. The bottles are set to be delivered to more than 4,000 retail outlets throughout the U.K in December,

“InfoMedia is justifiably proud of its record of growth and achievement,” Copus said in a statement. “InfoMedia currently holds more than 250 active content licenses with IP owners including major record labels, film studios, game publishers, image libraries and news agencies. This co-marketing agreement brings together mobile industry leaders. Both companies are excited about our future together in helping establish qode as a key tool in the U.K. for fast-tracking publishers, marketers and their users and customers direct to content and digital assets on the Mobile Internet.”
