NBC Universal Programming Broadband Content on MSN
NBC Universal Digital Studios has signed an exclusive agreement with MSN to produce “A Big Life With Sissy Biggers”, a new online show that aims to reach users with a hankering for home and lifestyle entertainment. Sissy Biggers, formerly of the Food Network’s “Ready, Set, Cook!” and PBS’s “Victory Garden” will cover everything from cooking and food to table manners.
“Big Life” is part of MSN’s Originals initiative, which brings original programming deeply integrated into Windows Live and MSN. Each show is preceded by pre-roll advertising, and the site for “Big Life” also links to a related site on Windows Live Spaces that features Sissy’s blog, behind the scenes photos, and an episode guide.
“MSN is a vibrant online destination and we’re proud that it’s the first portal to distribute content produced by NBC Universal Digital Studios,” said NBC’s chief digital officer George Kliavkoff in a statement. “With consumers’ and advertisers’ appetites for original broadband content increasing exponentially each day, ‘A Big Life with Sissy Biggers’ answers the need for innovative, fresh lifestyle programming on the Web.”
Nintendo will join Nabisco as one of the advertisers on the show to promote the launch of the Wii game console. “A Big Life With Sissy Biggers” “airs” for the next 13 weeks.
