FeedBurner Ad Inventory Grows 300%
RSS feed management and advertising company FeedBurner has increased its ad inventory by 300% over the past six months, giving feed advertisers more than enough blog, news and website feeds to play with this holiday season.
FeedBurner services more than 28 million subscribers daily. Commercial blog networks like B5 Media, Federated Media and the Gawker Media network account for “only” six million of them, but still represent the company’s core competency. Other content providers include mainstream news sites, like Reuters, USA Today and Wired News, and independent blogs.
“FeedBurner has always been known as the feed management platform for online publishers, which is how we’ve been able to amass such a compelling content network,” said FeedBurner COO Steve Olechowski in a statement. “Now that we’ve reached a critical mass, we are able to help media buyers capture a significant share of voice in the blogging conversations happening at the edges while offering the unique benefit of media buys across all of these networks.”
FeedBurner ads are placed both in feeds and on participating websites, and can be targeted by categories like Entertainment, Business and Technology, which can be further broken down into subcategories.
