An Insider’s View from the Podcamp “Unconference”
Scroll down on this page and you come to “Sessions” and “Registrants”:

Click on “registrants” and you see the following:

Now here’s the fun part. Click “edit page”:

The screen turns white and you see (gulp) actual coding! No worries. Simply copy the person’s info in front of you (including all #’s, [’s, etc.) and enter in your email address, website address, and other information. Then click, “save.” The screen turns green again and you’re done.
The same applies for the “sessions” page:

Incubator and Sponsors Page
For PodcampNYC we’re hoping to facilitate/organize networking by creating an “incubator” for people to meet who are looking to fill/find jobs. You should check out that page and add your ideas there. If it seems like that process is becoming too formalized and it deters from the “at-ease” philosophy of Podcamp, we’ll chuck it. You tell us.
Sponsors are still something we need, along with a venue. We have a pretty good line on a few spaces, but the more the merrier. We can always roam from one spot to another. (No pun intended for the VOIP crowd). Also, and here’s the Camp part, we’ll be staying over in the venue space on Saturday night. Yup. Bring your sleeping bags. The best networking can happen at three in the morning when you’re brainstorming a marketing conference taking place in Second Life with your MySpace friends. (Come to PodCampNYC to translate that if need be).
Hear from Russell Holliman, CEO/Founder of Podcast Ready
Russell Holliman was kind enough to provide his own thoughts on why corporate folks should help sponsor Podcamp, and he’s worth listening to as his company was the primary sponsor for the Podcast and Portable Media Expo where I recorded him.
See you in April
So consider this article your e-vite. But sign up soon. We’re democratic in nature but may have to provide a cutoff if we’re violating fire codes or running out of hot pockets.
