VideoEgg Launches Social Video Ad Network
Online video company VideoEgg just announced the launch of its new Eggnetwork social advertising platform at the MIXX conference in New York. The new service lets advertisers take advantage of VideoEgg’s system of letting site owners easily integrate user-created video. Eggnetwork lets advertisers put ads in video that will appear on sites run by VideoEgg’s social networking partners, a strategy that VideoEgg says could reach millions. Current social networking partners include Bebo, Dogster, hi5 and Tagged.
“The Eggnetwork provides a solution for advertisers who want to capitalize on the brand-building power of user-generated video without the worry of associating their brand with offensive content,” said Troy Young, VideoEgg’s chief marketing officer in a statement. “At the same time we are enabling online communities of all sizes to add superior video functionality that facilitates growth and drives the profitability of their sites.”
VideoEgg delivers more than 20 million video streams a day, and the new system will let users choose what type of ads they want to see. Ad options include permission-based advertising, sponsored content, and post-roll ads. The VideoEgg network is flash-based and the company says it will let advertisers create interactive ads that will operate right within the video player.
