TheStreet.com, DirectoryM Launch Business Directory

Business/investment website TheStreet.com and online local advertising network DirectoryM have launched TheStreet.com Business Directory, a listing of business services in North America.

TheStreet.com is a member of DirectoryM’s ad network. The new site is designed to give TheStreet.com users easy access to business services in their area, and give an opportunity for local businesses to reach potential customers online.

“We are looking forward to working with DirectoryM to serve the advertising needs of small-to-medium-sized businesses. The online advertising market is growing rapidly and local advertisers are an important contributor to that growth,” said Thomas O’Regan, TheStreet.com’s VP of advertising sales in a statement.

Upon visiting the site, a user selects a category like “advertising & marketing” or “graphic design.” For some categories, users can also select their local region. Users are then presented with a list of relevant business services and can send those businesses project proposals using TheStreet.com’s Proposal Generator. Each business service listing can also contain links to company demos and promotional offers. DirectoryM also provides business directory advertising services to companies in the U.S. and U.K. like WSJ.com, Newsweek, FT.com, and ZDNet.
