TACODA Opens Doors Overseas
Behavioral targeting firm TACODA today announced its first overseas endeavor, opening the doors to its London office where the company will begin to recruit publishers to participate in its “UK-centric” behavioral ad network.
“Since TACODA Audience Networks launched in the US just a year ago, the number of sites in the network has exploded to nearly 4,000,” says Curt Viebranz, TACODA’s CEO, in a statement. “Now that we have consolidated our position as the market-leader in the US, we think the time is right to start the process of expanding overseas with the unique behavioral targeting technology and customer service that only TACODA can provide.” He adds, “We have been very successful in the United States and are excited about the UK market.”
Accordingly, TACODA has appointed Paul Goad to serve as Managing Director of the UK operation. The London-based Goad will be responsible for developing publisher, client and agency relationships across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
TACODA adds that once the UK network is fully functional, advertisers will be able to serve messages to audience segments comprised of both US and UK visitors.

Does it surpise anyone that TACODA simply rides on teh back of Burst Media? Look at Burst’s filing when they went public on the London Stock Exchange. Burst reported that 11% of their revenue was produced from Tacoda and the partnership had only been going on for about 4 months. Wait… Tacoda’s network is Burst’s network… and Finkel is Einhorn! Burst opens a UK office and whadda ya know… Tacoda opens a UK network after Burst gets them publishers first. I love the marketing ploys of a so-called leader in behavioral marketing simply reselling the legacy network of Burst. Anyone want to bet that Burst and Tacoda merge at some point in the future? I’ll be giving odds on it…
