Podtrac Launches GoDaddy.com Podcast Ad Campaign
Podcast advertising company Podtrac has announced the launch of an ad campaign touting GoDaddy.com’s domain name registration service. Each four minute ad feature the French Maids, the female stars of the ridiculous how-to podcast French Maid TV.
The Maids, in frilly black & white regalia, take viewers through the domain registration process at GoDaddy.com. The ads are being distributed through the GoDaddy.com website and through the French Maid TV podcast’s RSS feed. “Our audience wants to know how to use cool and hip products like GoDaddy. It’s fun to watch our French Maids show them how,” said Tim Street, French Maid TV’s executive producer in a statement.
Podtrac claims that the French Maid TV audience rivals that of some cable TV shows, mostly males between 18 and 34. “French Maid TV is certainly GoDaddy-esque and helps us reach a targeted audience with our usual provocative and highly-entertaining style,” added GoDaddy.com CEO Bob Parsons.
Podtrac’s service provides both podcast ad measurement and insertion technology and claims to reach more than 22 million listeners and viewers. GoDaddy is a domain name registrar known for its TV and Superbowl ads featuring the busty GoDaddy girl.
