According to Adweek and AdAge reports, Zenith Media has acquired Moxie Interactive, an Atlanta-based digital advertising agency. Moxie will function as Zenith’s branded digital offering, integrating Zenith’s current digital team into its operation.
The newly expanded array of digital communications will cover services from online media, search engine, and email marketing to technology development and hosting, interactive kiosks, and ecommerce retail. The applications will span across PC, mobile, out of home, and TV platforms.
“This union with Moxie will enable us to develop even more holistic solutions, online and offline, for our clients,” said Tim Jones, CEO of ZenithOptimedia’s North American operations, in a statement. “Digital has moved from being a tertiary or secondary concern to front and center. This is the biggest thing on their [Zenith clients] agendas.”
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but it is estimated that, with Moxie, Zenith’s digital billings would be more than $300 million annually. The two agencies have worked together for the past five years on the Verizon Wireless account, with Moxie acting as the lead digital agency while Zenith handled the client’s primary media.
Moxie founder and CEO Kris Zagoria said, “We’ve known Zenith for five years. We feel like we’re cut from the same mold. They’re a media powerhouse and we wanted to expand out.”
