Fodor’s Travel and Quigo, a pay-for-performance advertising provider, have signed an agreement to deploy Quigo’s AdSonar platform on Fodors.com. AdSonar will provide an auction-based, pay-per-click program with full transparency, allowing advertisers to know exactly where on Fodors.com their ads will run. Sponsored link advertisements will be available on the homepage with multiple targeting options along with the availability of hundreds of topics or keywords like “airline tickets” or “hotels.”

“More and more advertisers have expressed interest in making certain their messages appear in a contextually relevant environment,” said Lauren Palmer, Director of New Business Development for Fodor’s. “We chose Quigo because we are confident in their ability to monetize targeted audiences within the travel category, were impressed with their technology and back end optimization and because we believe that Quigo offers the best chance of driving the largest amount of revenue.”

Fodors.com will join the family of popular sites that currently use the AdSonar platform including PGATour.com, Golf Digest, ABC News, Fox News, Martha Stewart, Lonely Planet, the New York Times, and many others.
