Kanoodle Takes Shelter Under Seevast
At today’s session of SES San Jose, sponsored links firm Kanoodle has announced that it has now become a subsidiary of Seevast, which will in turn oversee three distinct operating companies.
Along with its own paradigm shift, Kanoodle has also added Moniker.com, a domain sales and asset management firm, to its roster. Kanoodle, meanwhile, will be essentially split into two factions. As a result, its content-targeted sponsored links group will be re-branded Pulse 360, while its search-targeted sponsored links business will retain the Kanoodle name.
Regarding the paradigm shift, Kanoodle-turned-Seevast CEO Lance Podell tells ADOTAS, “We weren’t looking to do these company renames to shed a reputation or start over. We wanted Kanoodle to still be what Kanoodle is.” He adds in a statement, “Seevast’s structure will allow our three operating units to have a sharper, tighter focus on enhancing services for our customers and give us a platform for future growth.”
As for the Moniker acquisition, Podells explains, “While Moniker.com will continue to operate independently, this addition demonstrates our mission to operate innovative web marketing businesses that drive sales, build brands and increase the value of the core assets for our clients.”
Moniker.com will continue to operate as an independent business unit and Monte Cahn, CEO and Eric Harrington, President, the company’s founders, will remain with the company in their current roles to drive future value and growth. The company boasts that it manages more than 1.5 million domain names from clients including the NHL, Major League Baseball, Lionsgate Films, Marchex, Jupiter Media and Yahoo!.
As for the new Pulse 360, it will continue to work with Kanoodle’s existing publisher network including MarketWatch.com and the sites of the Dow Jones Online Network, as well as MSNBC.com, USATODAY.com, and more than 75 CBS Radio sites.
