FADER Celebrates 40th Issue on iTunes, Interactive Upgrades Included

The FADER Magazine, which recently became the first music magazine available for free download on iTunes with its last issue, is now celebrating its 40th issue with a special edition that features a variety of special offerings including mixed beats, fashion, photography, and insight into music today.

FADER 40 will be available via iTunes and will build upon the previous issue with interactive enhancements like hot links to advertisers, free digital subscriptions, and audio podcasts of music showcased in the issue.

The FADER is known for being the voice of emerging music and its surrounding lifestyle. For FADER 40, the editorial team asked eight of the biggest talents across different styles of music about the key people that have inspired and influenced them, as well as given them hope for the future, resulting in a collection of forty artists that provide “an all-encompassing map of the current musical landscape.”

The special issue will feature interviews and photos of artists like Young Jeezy, My Morning Jacket, Dwight Yoakam, The Boredoms, and Tego Calderon. It also includes a 2006 Fall Fashion special with the season’s essential looks and a feature called “Passing Fancy.”
