AdECN Signs 3 New Members
Auction-based online ad network AdECN has added three new websites to its roster: AMS Global Online, A Simple Internet, and Sierra Group Marketing. AdECN Exchange mimics the stock exchange model, allowing ad networks, agencies, and brokers to buy and sell advertising space on behalf of advertisers and publishers. This is also the first time AdECN has opened up its system to new members since October 2005.
“The market is now open. Signing these three new members really marks the full-scale launch of the AdECN Exchange,” said AdECN CEO William Urschel in a statement. Experclick is also one ad network that’s been with the exchange since its initial launch. Regarding the company, Urschel adds, “Experclick’s early participation and success on the Exchange gave us the opportunity to test, refine and prove the technology and the business model in the real world. Now it’s time to open it up to other members.”
Each member of the Exchange specifies in advance how much they want to pay for their online campaigns and specifies the type of site and user characteristics they’re looking for. Auctions then occur on-the-fly in less than 100 milliseconds as a user visits a web page, with each individual advertising space going to the highest bidder.
