ViTrue, Denuo Build User-Created Ad Platform

Brand marketer ViTrue and media consultancy Denuo, a division of the Publicis Groupe, have teamed up to build a user-created advertising platform. The two companies will work together to bring a social advertising service to the Publicis Groupe’s clients.

“As the world of marketing becomes more transparent and sophisticated, the reflective voice of the consumer has taken on supreme importance,” said Denuo SVP Tim Hanlon in a statement. “With an ever-expanding array of paradigm-changing technological advances, consumers today have unprecedented ability to respond to —and even initiate —ad messaging, transforming the discipline of marketing from a one-way monologue into a multi-layered dialogue.”

Hanlon, who is no stranger to new media, helped launch Publicis subsidiary Starcom MediaVest’s TV 2.0 initiative, which examines television as an evolving and interactive platform.

Still, this is the first time that the Publicis Groupe has partnered with a user-created ad company to create social advertising. Publicis hopes that ViTrue and Denuo’s efforts will help its clients grasp the power of social networking aspects like community standards, consumer interest, and customer feedback for both advertising and content creation.
