In case you missed it, last year, the team for Sony’s BRAVIA line of LCD TV’s released an ad directed by Nicolai Fuglsig that unleashed 250,000 colorful superballs onto the sloping streets of San Francisco. The ad generated a lot of buzz online, and this year Sony is planning to release a sequel. In support of the upcoming ad, Sony Europe will be releasing free downloadable content for the PSP portable game device.

“There is a natural fit between BRAVIA and the PSP audience who appreciate the clarity and colour reproduction of BRAVIA’s LCD screens,” said David Patton, SVP of Sony Europe in a statement, “Our intention is simply to deliver the best content to those interested in our advertising, using their favourite technology”

The BRAVIA and the PSP divisions are still deliberating about what exactly that supporting content will be. But it will be specifically tailored for the PSP audience. Yourpsp.com members will be able to download the content first, and then it will be released on bravia-advert.com. It will also be downloadable through Sony’s PlayStationSpot downloading kiosks and Sony wifi access points across Europe.
