Maxim, CBS Form Digital Content Partnership
Men’s lifestyle property Maxim.com today announced that it has formed a strategic content-sharing partnership with CBS SportsLine, a component of CBS Digital Media.
Maxim.com, a subsidiary of the Dennis Digital network and the Web counterpart to Maxim magazine, will now feature up-to-the-minute sports headlines and real-time scores courtesy of Sportsline. The headlines will link back to CBS Sportsline for the full stories.
In return, Maxim.com will provide CBS SportsLine with entertainment and “irreverent” sports content for the latter’s “SPiN” section. Likewise, these links will bring users to the Maxim website to get the complete stories and view more in-depth content.
Dennis Digital president Todd Anderman says, “The combination of CBS SportsLine’s news and analysis with Maxim.com’s humor and entertainment is a natural fit for our respective audiences. This is a very synergistic partnership that will continue to enhance the user experience for visitors to both sites.
CBS SportsLine vice president, programming and executive producer Joe Ferreira adds, “This relationship with Maxim.com ties directly into our goal of providing top quality sports news, commentary and entertainment to our target audience. This content is also a bolster to CBS SportsLine’s humorous “SPiN” section, an area of our site that is really starting to take hold with sports fans.”
