IGA Receives VC Funding from Intel
In-game advertising company IGA Worldwide has just received an extra $5 million in Series A funding from Intel Capital, Intel Corporation’s venture capital wing. IGA’s current investor group, led by Easton Capital Group had already announced $12 million in Series A funding. IGA’s Radial advertising system lets advertisers inject targeted ads into games on multiple platforms and reach more than 150 million people in the U.S., most of them within the 18-34 year old age bracket.
“The explosive growth of digital gaming is attracting millions of new users and is a key element of Intel’s vision for the Digital Home,” said Damien Callaghan, Intel Capital’s Strategic Investment Manager in a statement. “IGA’s products enhance this opportunity by enabling game developers and publishers to earn additional revenue ensuring the continuation of a vibrant industry — an issue of importance to Intel and its customers.”
The Series A funding will help IGA expand its relationships with game publishers across Europe, Asia, and North America, helping the company generate revenue to offset the cost of game development.
