Pointroll Powers Political Process
Rich media advertising provider Pointroll has launched Voter Impact, rich media platforms for online political advertising. Voter Impact comes in three flavors: Canvassing, Fundraising and Get Out The Vote. A Canvassing ad unit is designed to gather voter information, gather polling information, and identify voters. A Fundraising ad unit is designed to generate support and campaign funding, and to promote petitions, political actions, and political party activities. A Get Out The Vote ad unit is essentially designed to encourage people to register to vote, and pledge their support.
“Through Voter Impact, political advertisers and candidates have a powerful, new set of tools for their campaign trail that affords them the ability to get the right message to the right voter at the right time,” said Pointroll CEO Chris Saridakis in a statement. “Through Voter Impact, we provide a powerful array of interactive online advertising products that can enable candidates to impact their constituencies in customized and adjustable ways at a national, regional or locally-targeted level, and measure its success.”
Pointroll hopes to capitalize on both the upcoming election, and the growth in online ad spending which, according to the IAB, has increased by 38% over last year to $3.9 billion. The company’s anticipating that political advertising online will have a greater impact this year than it has in previous years. Pointroll is currently conducting a survey with the E-Voter Institute about voters and their online behavior. The results will be released in August.
