Zookoda Launches RSS-to-Email Marketing, Version 2.0
After 8 months of beta testing, Australian RSS-to-email marketing company Zookoda has launched version 2.0. It’s a service geared towards bloggers and lets them promote their blogs by turning them into full-featured email newsletters. Zookoda reads a blog’s content directly from the RSS feed, meaning that the content is updated automatically whenever a blogger posts new content.
The service is currently completely free, and allows bloggers to customize their email templates, and schedule when they want their content sent out (weekly, monthly, daily, etc.) It also lets bloggers control subscriptions, unsubscribes, and provides subscription metrics like number of click-throughs, open, bounce, and unsubscribe rates. Metrics data can be viewed on the Web, or exported via RSS or a .pdf file.
Along with the version 2.0 launch, Zookoda has also launched a specialized service for blog networks. “As blog network companies continue to expand and search for ways to increase site traffic, email marketing is beginning to play an important role in their business,” wrote co-founder Nick McNaughton on the official blog. Zookoda’s Blog Network Solution lets blog network operators “drill down” and examine how each of their individual blog email newsletters is performing.
