See Fusion Launches Contextual eBay Ads

Find-Your-item, an eBay comparison shopping division of See Fusion Search Marketing, has launched fyiAds for eBay sellers.

Like Google’s AdSense, fyiAds lets publishers place contextual ads on their web pages. But unlike AdSense, fyiAds delivers text links to eBay online auction listings. fyiAds works with eBay’s affiliate program, so any time a website visitor clicks on a fyiAd link and makes a purchase, the publisher earns a commission via the eBay affiliate program.

The eBay affiliate program allows participants to earn a high percentage of a listing’s eBay revenue (the cut eBay takes, not the final sale price). Once a user clicks on an eBay referral link, they have up to 7 days to make a purchase for the referrer to earn a commission. “fyiAds is like putting the eBay affiliate program on steroids,” said See Fusion president Winston Williams in a statement.

fyiAds can be displayed in several standard formats including banners and skyscrapers. Publishers wishing to use the fyiAds system must first sign up for the eBay affiliate program through eBay, and then sign up for a fyiAds account. Publishers receive commission via Commission Junction. The Find-Your-Item website doubles as an eBay comparison shopping search engine, and contains more than 15 million eBay listings.
