ROO Online Video Ad Upfront Made Available
Online video broadcasting network ROO says that their first upfront video advertising opportunities are now available. The upfront allows advertisers to purchase streaming ads across ROO’s affiliate sites, which include sites by Verizon, Excite, 36 local television stations, and other more demographically-specific sites like Music.com and MyMedCenter. Their online videos are played more than 40 million times a month, and ads can be targeted by categories including news, music, movies, business, science and fashion, as well as demographic according to website.
“With the explosion of advertiser interest in online video, we foresee an industry-wide shortage of quality inventory, and ROO is one of the only networks with sufficient reach to meet advertisers’ demand for the rapidly growing online viewing audience,” said ROO CEO Robert Petty in a statement. “Broadband video advertising is targeted, measurable and immediate. A ROO network buy serves as a strategic and efficient extension to a traditional broadcast or cable media strategy”
The ads are 15-30 second in-stream ads, tracked by comScore Media Metrix, and adhere to IAB streaming video ad guidelines. Past advertisers include AT&T, Sony, Sprint, and Microsoft.
