Indeed Entertains PPC Classified Ads
Indeed, the job classifieds website, has launched pay-per-click advertising instead of just offering pay-per-listing ad opportunities. With the new PPC advertising model, Indeed will sell sponsored job listings to listing publishers and employment advertisers. Now, advertisers including NYTimes.com can bid for the sponsored listings that will be placed below and above job search results. PPC advertisers will also be able to establish budgets for the ads through Indeed’s network.
Paul Forster, CEO and founder of Indeed, tells ADOTAS, “Whenever a user clicks through to the job listing then the advertiser pays on a PPC basis,” so that advertisers only have to pay per click instead of per listing.
Indeed functions as a one-stop source where users can search through online job postings from different sources across the Internet. The PPC listings will also be viewed in Jobrolls, customized search results, on small blogs and websites within Indeed’s affiliate network, but advertisers looking to meet their budgets can disable the tool.
