BlogHer Ad Network Launched in Time for Mother’s Day
BlogHer LLC, the online guide to women bloggers, today announced the launch of a new advertising network for blogs written and read by women. This ad network will provide a premium environment for contextual advertising geared towards females. The network will launch June 1 in partnership with more than two dozen parenting bloggers and featured advertiser Sweet Simplicity Sweetner, which is an all-natural zero-calorie sweetener.
“BlogHer LLC understood what I was looking for: a way to make the most of my blogs while focusing on writing. At the same time I feel comfortable that BlogHer understands what appeals to my community,” said Jenn Satterwhite, of the Mommybloggers and Mommy Needs Coffee blogs, in a press statement.
The BlogHer Advertising Network will help sponsors directly target women who read and write blogs. This female audience has proved to be a loyal and highly educated readership. BlogHer will sell and deliver only graphic media ads on participating blogs, and participating bloggers keep their own URLs, traffic and communities and agree to publish according to editorial guidelines. BlogHer has plans to launch an ad network in the near future that targets food bloggers.
