Accipiter Offers Self-Serve Ad Market

Online ad server Accipiter has announced their new AdMarket self-serve ad marketplace. It’s an ad management system that will let their advertisers bid for ad spots on publisher sites. Because AdMarket lets publishers manage their own advertising properties, it gives them direct control over their own rate structures and placement categories.

“It gives publishers direct influence on advertisers, the ability to control bidding rates, and importantly, full disclosure on revenue share,” said Accipiter CEO Brian Handly in a statement. He adds that AdMarket is “a self-service advertising solution with the features publishers need to create additional targeted advertising inventory and in many cases, reclaim valuable inventory they may have previously allocated to a non personalized CPC network.”

AdMarket publishers can moderate the ads that appear on their site, ensuring that the advertising jives with their content and their audience. Ads are bid on in an auction setting, so publishers can get the maximum price for ad space. Both publishers and advertisers can monitor ad performance, allowing advertisers to better manage their campaigns, and publishers can determine optimal ad placement. Publishers can customize the interface so it matches their site. AdMarket supports IAB standards, and lets publishers use either Accipiter’s ad network, or their own ad inventory.

Nice to see other companies realize this is important and useful for publishers, as we did years ago. I’m sure they still ignore the underserved market, but that is OK. We’re more than happy to help anyone.
