ZEDO Capitalizes on Falk Fallout
Ad server ZEDO has acquired several clients from their former rival, Falk eSolutions, and they now claim to be the third largest ad server in the industry. As we reported last month, ad server DoubleClick purchased Falk eSolutions, and moved former Falk customers over to their DART platform. In order to capitalize on the acquisition, several ad-serving competitors, including Accipiter and ZEDO provided easy migration services to encourage former Falk customers to switch to them instead of moving to DoubleClick.
Migration incentives offered by ZEDO include free ad serving and free ad trafficking. Mike Cassidy, CEO of former Falk customer Xfire said in a statement, “The amount of targeting data we pass to an ad server is more than most ad servers are built to handle, so we needed ZEDO’s level of scalability…They helped us migrate from Falk quickly while creating a customized solution to fit our unique needs.”
ZEDO’s primary business is ad-serving, and their Third Generation Ad Serving platform is designed for direct marketers, publishers, and agencies. Overall, they claim to have added more than 40 new customers to their roster so far in 2006.
