WebSideStory Launches Search 4.0
Online digital marketing and research company WebSideStory has unveiled version 4.0 of their search platform today. The new Search 4.0 platform uses a system called Active Ranking that combines standard search listings with detailed web behavioral information.
Their proprietary Active Ranking system tracks ecommerce, traffic, and content information like conversion rate, entry pages, most requested pages and number of visits. It’s designed to help search marketers plan and organize their campaigns. Marketers can also add their own profitability and user rating data to the search results. Search 4.0 draws in behavioral data through WebSideStory’s analytics package, HBX Analytics, and also adds SEO site mapping, as well as the ability to track shopping engine feeds. On the consumer side, Search 4.0′s Active Navigation helps users find results using the Active Ranking data.
“The on-demand model enables us to innovate much faster than our competitors and easily provide connections with external services, such as shopping search engines, sitemaps and other applications like HBX analytics,” said WebSideStory’s Steve Kusmer, SVP of their Search & Content Solutions division in a statement.
The new adds greater search capacity, and can now index several million web pages. It can also automatically submit product listings to shopping search engines. Everything is hosted entirely by WebSideStory.
