What they do: Based in New York City, this website, blog, and twice weekly email newsletter caters to busy career women who love to shop but tend to get their fix online to keep up with the trends. SheFinds goes one step further and surfs the web for the best designer deals so that working women don’t have to. The SheFinds marketing materials explain, “We inform, instruct and inspire women to engage in ‘retail therapy’ and provide easy access to purchase.” SheFinds.com also has recently launched SheFindsMom.com to target the busy, working mom.
Who should buy: With 20,000 female newsletter subscribers, SheFinds sold over $300K worth of merchandise for their affiliate partners in 2005. The site receives 600K page views per month and 8K visits per day. 81% of subscribers are between the ages of 25 and 44, and 55% have an average household income over $75,000 (40% have an average household income over $100,000). SheFinds.com also boats reader click-through rates 35% better than average affiliate rates. SheFinds.com readers also convert nearly 60% better than other affiliate channels. One of SheFinds’ best advertisers, BestNecessities.com has made over $2.50 per name from the SheFinds.com subscriber list.
Format/How much: The most economical way to advertising in SheFinds is to purchase a spot in the Sale Thursday email newsletter to promote sale items (example at http://shefinds.com/salethursdaysample.htm). Text is limited to 30 words, and only sale items of more than 20% off are eligible for the spot. SheFinds can also create a custom email for advertisers such as spas , retailers, diet sites , and wines.
Advertisers can also purchase placements on Tuesdays with the Featured Link or a Friend of SheFinds placement at the bottom of the email as seen here for eLuxury. Advertisers with a mailing list of over 10K can also negotiate bartering cross promotion.
