Mooter Media Incorporates Linguistics Platform in Contextual Ads
The recent incorporation of Basis Technology’s Rosette Linguistics Platform (RLP) into Mooter Media’s adVantage and Contextual adVantage platforms is bringing contextual ad serving to international markets. The collaboration is focused on optimizing ad relevancy and improving click-through rates for Mooter Media’s partners in China, Japan, and Korea.
Basis’ RLP is a suite of components designed for applications which analyze and process many different world languages. In this case, it is enabling search engine spiders and other information retrieval applications on the web to understand pages written in a variety of Asian languages so that adVantage may offer users the most relevant contextual advertisements.
“We are committed to providing the most informative and useful advertising targeting technology to best benefit both advertisers and consumers,” Dr. Mathew McDougall, COO of Mooter Media, told the press. “Basis Technology’s Asian linguistic technology facilitated our reach and growth in the Asian online advertising market.”
Headquarted in Sydney, Australia, Mooter Media sells or licenses its contextual technologies to publishers and advertising aggregators around the world, but has recently focused on Asian markets.
