IGA Worldwide Welcomes Former Sony, Omnicom Execs Aboard

In-game advertising leader IGA Worldwide today announced the addition of former President of Sony Entertainment Europe, Chris Deering and Vice Chairman of Omnicom, Bruce Nelson to its board. IGA also recently received a $12 million investment from Easton Capital Group, Morgenthaler Ventures and DN Capital in February.

“Obviously what it’s helped to do is validate the IGN space,” Justin Townsend, IGN Worldwide’s CEO, tells ADOTAS. “Bruce has a wealth of experience with regards to advertising media agencies, working with US-based expertise, working with multiple companies, and expertise about building and positioning the company. What Chris brings is a lot of expertise on the whole in the publishing industry.”

Deering brings over 25 years of experience in interactive entertainment and is recognized as one of the pioneers in the videogame industry. Nelson also brings his many years of experience to the table, having previously held positions including Chief Marketing Officer of IPG, Vice Chairman at Young and Rubicam Inc., and Executive Vice President of McCann Erickson Worldwide.
