Advertising.com Green Lights Rovion Format
Advertising.com launched its rich media network in December of 2005, and started a pre-roll network earlier this month. It currently works with over 95 publishers, including WhitePages.com, Maps.com, and Autotrader.com. The network accepts almost every available rich media technology, including Eyeblaster, Dart Motif, and Pointroll.
“I think the draw for Advertising.com is to really be able to support as many formats as possible,” Eric Eller, senior director of products and marketing at Advertising.com told ClickZ News. “Anecdotally, we feel that from an RFP reception process that a greater percentage [of advertisers] are asking about rich media capabilities.”
Rovion alerted TVGuide.com and FoodNetwork.com visitors to the innovative prospects of its inPerson technology last week, when it enabled a miniature version of TV Host Marc Summers to appear onscreen separate from any video borders, in promotion of the sites’ “Next Food Network Star” promotional contest.
