VMN Launches Toolbar Wizard

Software developer Visicom Media already provides toolbar technology to companies like Yahoo!, Netscape, Nasdaq, Sony, and Disney. Now any web publishers can create their own branded toolbars with Visicom’s new Toolbar Wizard. The Wizard creates toolbars complete with a light-weight RSS aggregator, which displays RSS news feeds in a drop-down box and lets users customize their own feeds. Additionally, the toolbar can display weather, provide online games, and even feature security tools like anti-spyware scanning and popup blocking.

“With VMN Toolbar Wizard, publishers have access to a complete toolbar solution without any investment on their end. They can build their toolbar in a extremely user-friendly environment, customize it according to their needs, deploy it and track usage with user statistics,” said Visicom CEO Patrice Carrenard in a statement.

Visicom also lets you track the usage of your toolbar and generate real-time reports about how many people are using your toolbar to search the web, how many people have it installed, and how many clicks on each toolbar button. Currently the VMN Toolbar Wizard only creates toolbars compatible with Internet Explorer, but Visicom plans to have Firefox support ready by the end of April.
