MIVA Partners with Intellext for PPC Deal
Performance marketing firm MIVA today announced an exclusive partnership with Intellext, the creators of Watson — a next-generation, desktop-based search tool that automatically finds users contextually relevant information based on the content of their documents.
With this new arrangement, Intellext intends to display targeted pay-per-click and pay-per-call ads offered by MIVA to Watson users.
Watson identifies content a user is referencing in applications, such as Word and PowerPoint, and automatically finds contextually relevant information from the web, emails and files. With MIVA onboard, Watson users will now be provided with contextually relevant ads. On MIVA’s end, the company’s advertising network benefits by having ads automatically delivered to prospective customers with high conversion potential, apparently at the precise moment the information is most relevant to them. MIVA’s Pay-Per-Click Ads will be immediately available to Watson users upon launch with pay-per-call ads expected to be available in Q2.
“Our partnership with Intellext further extends MIVA’s reach into the growing desktop search space, enabling us to introduce our advertisers to a greater variety of Internet users,” said Seb Bishop, chief marketing officer of MIVA, in a press statement. “We believe Watson’s method of retrieving information from different sources is a perfect fit with MIVA’s philosophy of allowing our advertisers to reach the right people at the right time, regardless of what they are doing on their computer.”
