Hitwise Gets Analytical
In order to provide analytics and campaign management solutions to its customers, international web traffic research company Hitwise has announced that it has purchased search marketing analytics firm HitDynamics. Hitwise works with ISP networks to anonymously track the trends of more than 25 million Internet users daily, and observes how they interact with more than 500,000 websites. HitDynamics lets both publishers and marketers manage their PPC, SEO, and affiliate campaigns.
Hitwise intends to gradually integrate HitDynamics’ solutions with its research systems, and it hopes that HitDynamics will be able to provide its clients with a campaign management platform that will let them act on that research. Currently Hitwise tracks clicks, demographics, search terms, and industry rankings. According to Hitwise CEO Andrew Walsh in a statement, the HitDynamics deal “seamlessly leverages [its] unique, daily competitive intelligence data [with HitDynamics'] cutting edge online customer acquisition, retention and optimization strategies.” Until then, HitDynamics will continue to operate independently, serving its existing clients as usual.
Hitwise is an internationally recognized web research company with offices in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
