DoubleClick, Inc. announced today that it will acquire Falk eSolutions, a leading online ad delivery and marketing management solutions provider based in Germany. The deal, expected to close prior to the 31st of this month, is intended to broaden DoubleClick’s global presence as well as integrate the innovative elements of each company’s ad platform.

“The acquisition will complement DoubleClick’s strong focus in digital advertising, our innovative research and development, and our ongoing investment in search, optimization and rich media,” said David Rosenblatt, CEO of DoubleClick, in a press statement.

With the acquisition, DoubleClick will nearly double its number of European employees, currently stationed in St. Petersburg, Dusseldorf, and Amsterdam. It will also solidify sizeable hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia, all dedicated to developing innovative products and services with an emphasis on local markets.

DoubleClick’s DART solution will be the ad platform of choice for the combined company, winning out over Falk’s AdSolution. DoubleClick has already begun migrating Falk’s clients to the DART platform, beginning with Adpepper, one of the first and largest companies to commit to the move.

Reader Comments.

Falk is the worst ad serving software, so they haven’t much of a choice. They have almost no clients, and their system (as a former user) does NOT work.
